I have just purchased a new "Solar" domain

I think its a great name for a new solar company and the phrase "Solar Group" returns 1,720,000 results in Google.

A few companies on the first few pages of Google with the words "SolarGroup" in their name as well

I meant 880 exact Searches per Month (SPM), according to Google AdWords.
SPM are more meaningful then simple Google results.
Ah, ok, no problem then, good luck in finding a good end user to sell to

oh thanks, but I am just showing how many companies are using those 2 words together in their name, search results dont really apply to this kind of name, as it isn't a highly-searched term, its more to sell to an end-user who is either starting up or to an existing established solar company.

Nice one Giles, i like it, if there isn't already a company called solar group there should be.

I would envisage you could sell this to a listed solar company/group on the stock exchange for a nice return, IMO solar is not as yet in boom times but it will be.

End user price of low XXXX i would think.

Avoid the Mailbox Solar Group because they're probably big enough to cause TM issues. If you stick to Solar (which obviously you were planning) it's a nice name.

Solar, to me, works pretty well with a Group ending which is apparent based on the number of examples you've found. It's better than most Solar names I see on NP.

No idea on value - some of the companies aren't smaller and local and probably don't need an exact match and don't care. The bigger ones have the great names.

I also really like this name and definitely think its worth holding onto until you can find an end user.

I don't think the exact searches for this are entirely relevant in this case as it is clearly aimed more as a business name.

I think maxeaus low $xxxx amount is a decent appraisal and would probably be the minimum I would ask for from an end user. There is a huge amount of money being invested into solar energy so this name has a huge amount of potential as long as you can avoid any TM issues as previously mentioned.

My prediction are more along the lines of xx,xxx for the name (maybe I'm biased?), I wont sell for x,xxx, I would rather chase some deep-pocketed end-users or wait for the right offer to come along. Solar is only only to get bigger in the next 10 years so I have plenty of time and patience

This would be a great name for an energy coop that sells electricity back to main grid. If you wont sell in any of the 4 figures you will wait those ten years though. xxx reseller

No, I bought it off someone else

I received an email from a free gmail account and the negotiations started from there

It turned out being quite a big end-user and we both walked away happy (him probably a little more than me lol)
