I'm pretty sure it's a scam site, I got an e-mail to buy my domains, but to first use that as appraisal, needless to say it turned out to be a scam pretty quickly.

I wouldn't use an appraisal service, just use the help from members here and your own good judgement.

In my opinion, because the domain is broad and not-targeted, I would say it is worth low-mid $xx. Think about it... if you live in San Francisco and looking for SEO services, you would search "SEO San Francisco" or "SEO California"... not "SEO United States".
