I recently purchased this domain. Most of the time I have a good idea of how I did but this time I'm not really sure. Your input is much appreciated. Thanks :)

Would make a nice review/ratings site for pubs and/or pub food. If done right, it would be worth quite a bit.

This is missing an "and" or "n" to have best value as far as "bar" use. The hypen parked. I feel you will have to enduser your way out of it with someone using the pubngrub type of local bar brand. It could also be a Pub Grub recipes type site mid xx TikiPub dot com sold for $488 a few years ago, goodluck

When I first see it, it's very easy to pronounce. The two words also end the same in ub which adds to the ease of not only pronouncing it but also remembering it. Like verbster said, it could be worth quite a bit developed. There are tons of Wordpress review themes out there that you could use to build this. Undeveloped I'd personally pay low $xxx. I could see this doing well on a site like flippa if developed. Low to mid $xxxx if developed nicely with consistent tracked traffic.

I think of StubHub when I read PubGrub :)

Really catchy name, but it doesn't have a clear end user. I would stay clear of a review site since there are so many food/restaurant review sites on the web now. It would take a bit of capital to get started.

I think of a food line that sells pub food :)

I agree with johname's mid $xx appraisal...

Never really heard the term with an & or n.

PubGrub is just what it is, pub grub. It's a poor and distant relative of Gastro Pub... (it's like Diner vs Restaurant).

I like the "sound of the name".

mid $xxx if you market it well because it sounds great, has real meaning and is two short words. low $xxx to shift.

Problem I see is that most pubs have a name so you would be looking for secondary uses; however, a lot of of places in the US want to "seem" English even though they have no idea about pub culture at all.

OMFG on Johnames avatar - please don't EVER CHANGE IT

Would someone actually go online to check out pub food?

Does someone go out to eat and NOT go online to checkout the food first?

Great domain!

Pub Grub is most definitely a British term for great food served in, well, British pubs, usually of the Mac and Cheese or baked bean types and almost always better than the typical British cuisine.

Your market would be Brit Pub Grubbers or foreigner bar hoppers who need grub to go with all that Guinness.

I see its value in development, perhaps a site that rates the best pub food all around England, for example, emphasizing each geo location in subdomains, such as London.PubGrub.com.

The GAKT numbers look pretty good as well: 1,000 exact []--they may even be higher in Great Britain.

I think you snagged a good one!

Great name, just have to do a Google search on that term in quotes:

[ame="http://www.google.com/search?q=pub+grub&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=n8O&rls=org.mozilla:en-US%3Aofficial&source=hp&q=%22pub+grub%22&pbx=1&oq=%22pub+grub%22&aq=f&aqi=g3g-c1&aql=&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=3815l5212l0l6520l2l2l0l0l0l0l1251l1459l2-1.7-1l2l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=b616ebf6f30ab7a2&biw=1280&bih=535"]pub grub - Google Search[/ame]

About 2,190,000 results

and I see

sites using pub grub in the domain in that order, like the one you see on page 1, 4 on just the first 4 pages

book at Amazon simply called Pub Grub

Weight Watchers has a Pub Grub guide

squidoo lens on that term

and so on

Nice brandable, easy to spell/remember

I like the Name ... A review of eatery style pubs would be an excellent development idea .. Everyone wants to go to the "interesting" different .
I would say low $xxx Pub is also a frequent term used here in Canada .

That's absolutely right! I am not too far off in New Brunswick and pub is used often interchangeably. There are plenty of expensive and cheap pubs here and they are all full of people.

I love this name. It has a lot of potentials within the bar/pub/restaurant business. Could work as a review avenue, coupons, reservations, etc. Also reminds me of that show on television Bar Rescue. Obviously you or a buyer would need a lot of capital to get that done. Nevertheless this is a very creative name that is unique. I think you are looking at at least mid $xxx in the right market.

These are the kinds of domains I wished I would have seen the foresight to acquire and develop. Please keep us updated on what you do with it.
