I handreg these two domain names a couple days back, and request appraisal for these from you guys and girls.

Petroleumjelly.com would have been better. Because PetroJelly.com is less valuable than 'Petroleumjelly.com'. And of the two, PetroleumGel.com is actually more valuable than PetroJelly.com. I would appraise PetroleumGel.com at $500 due to the fact that it's a niche market and it would be a hard sale to end users.

a little disappointing but something positive is what i am gaining from you.

petrojelly is a type of product dominated by one big company - Vase/line.

The correct term is actually petroleum jelly, which is already regged in dot com, net and org.

I can't see any other end user for this product and I also can't see Vase/line being interested in this name.

This name has no place in your portfolio, and I would not renew it.

As a disclaimer, I always say I have seen some of the worst names sell sometimes, so anything is possible.

But don't count on it.

Agreed. I would not have regged them but I've have seen far worse. I even a couple of times thought I regged a domain only to find I made a typo. If you look at the somewhat similar sales, there are some strange ones.

It amazes me to see some of the terrible names that do sell.
