Looking for some appraisals on this one. Im in the process of getting it developed but would like some thoughts on the name value alone. I figured it would be a good time to develop this one with todays tablet craze. It gets 8,100 exacts from Google. Taken in all top extentions including hypenated versions.

Thanks

It's definitely a sought after keyword because all the other TLD's and hyphens are taken. When I think of tablets I think of iPad as I would suspect many others would because they are such a dominating force right now. It worries me about relative competition and the odds of other tablets succeeding.

That aside, it seems like an easy candidate for a mini-site development, with news on the latest tablets available and an estore for buying them through something like Amazon.

Not sure if it has a product or service end user, besides a domainer or developer. However, don't quote me on that. I would say if I were interested in buying it would be a high $xx to a low $xxx for the reasons stated above. Best of luck.

Edited to Add This appraisal is based on what I would pay for it if I was in the market for a purchase of this domain. Bannen's points are excellent and I would definitely consider those.

Timely name, with the growing explosion of tablets.
NewTablets and New-Tablets taken in many ext; very healthy exact search numbers; if you use Adsense, this kind of electronics keyword/s brings average to good cost-per-click and usually okay to good ctr; if you have affiliate links or store on there, the products have a healthy price so you'll see a few dollars percentage on each sale;

Very strong name. I looked at your competition on Google's first few pages when searching for 'new tablets', and it doesn't look daunting. For many keywords you look at the competition and then think 'no way' to ever getting your website to page 1 spot 1 on search engines;

But your competition is mostly news articles from tech/trend sites. A minisite would not quite beat them IMO, but with medium-size development and a little more seo than for a minisite I think you have a good chance of taking that top spot for that keyphrase.

To someone who knows what to do with it, I think this is a strong name to develop into a healthy revenue stream.

I'd appraise:
reseller = $500 - 1500 range at a drop auction
end user = $5K minimum, possibly well into xx,xxx if one of the big players wants this name to help sell ipads/androids etc etc etc, though to me that is optimistic, since they will usually rather use one of their branded names as part of a domain name.

Still, lots of torque to this name, I'd feel very confident I could make a successful site out of it.

Your thoughts were exactly what I was thinking. Very well said.

I personally wouldn't consider selling it for anything under low $x,xxx.
