Please appraise this.

hollywoodhush.com

Hush is kind of a retro word so I do not know how applicable it is in todays' world. I liked it anyway(sounds like an old scandal sheet title.)

Thanks to all and have a great Memorial day weekend

You are right, it is not a phrase you hear very often. In fact, before today I don't think I have ever heard of it.

However that being said, on a very basic level here is how I see it .... it is a two word .com. That's good. You seem to lose value with each additional word past one.

Your domain is long. That's not good. It seems to lose value past 10 characters.

Your domain doesn't seem to have any development, been previously archived or backend PR. That's bad.

So short of you developing it into something, or someone making a movie called Hollywood Hush, I don't think it has any real value beyond that of what you paid to reg it in the first place.

I could be wrong though. I am by no means an expert.

The name does have some potential though. Maybe develop it into a hot celebrity site and trade links with like minded sites and see what you can pull off.

My thingy says:
Valuation USD 42

I like the sound of it, absolutely great name for a celeb gossip site!

Thank you so much for your honest and somewhat indepth appraisal. I really appreciate the time you took to give me the evaluation.

Ditto on yours as well. It does, like I said, sound like a 50's style scandal sheet. Maybe, with a little motivation, I can develop it so it would be more appealing.

Well agian for what it's worth (I'm no expert here) but I would say TVfact.com has some potential IF TVfacts.com ever gets developed. You would get some typo/bleed over traffic and that's always a plus. But you also have the potential to market it to the person who invests in tvfacts.com.

In the mean time you could work on developing your own small, text heavy site around fun tv show facts, heavy on celebrity name dropping and attempt to get your traffic up. This will increase the value of the site when you do luck out and someone buys tvfactS.com and you get a free ride off of it. :P

CoProfile.com I don't see anything major for it without some branding work. By this I mean, it can't really stand on it's own two feet. You would need to make it into something special and then it would have some value. The terms are generic enough that it could filter into something like services for exsisting social networking sites. This is probably were your best bet is at. ie: give people soemthing to add to their myspace profile. I don't know, just pulling stuff off the top of my head. Alone, completely valueless website but with some hard work and a lot of luck, you could develop it into a nice website earning you some decent cash per month.

I like the name HollywoodHush, for the same reason you probably do. It sounds like a great name for a site with scandalious hollywood gossip. I'd appraise it without content in the mid $xx, but I could see it worth allot more if you spent some time developing it.

Best of luck!

astroman,

Thank you for the frank assessment of this domain name. It appears that this is worthy of development so I shall go from there.

May you and yours have a great Memorial day weekend.
