I have to respectfully disagree. This is wikipedia partial definition: "A handyman, increasingly known as a handyperson or handywoman, is a person skilled at a wide range of repairs". Did you see the term skilled in there. You also said an expert specializes. Your right! once again wikipedia states: " is someone widely recognized as a reliable source of technique or skill whose faculty for judging or deciding rightly, justly, or wisely is accorded authority and status by their peers or the public in a specific well-distinguished domain". Once again the term skilled is applied. Im a bit dissapointed at your shoot from the hip approach without establishing facts. Software appraisals have consistently come in at $13-1400. for this URL.

Trouble is handymen, if they're working commercially, tend to be small operators rather than someone that would pay you a lot of money for a URL like this, unless you happened to find a company that managed handypeople.

Price: $XX.

Alternatively, dev it yourself. It could be a decent domain name for a well maintained repair guide.

Something I have taken a long time to appreciate is that automated appraisals mean nothing....I own workmen.info which appraises with estibot at $1200, does it mean that its worth that, no, maybe, yes.....if someone pays it....point is its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Dont pay a lot of attention to auto appraisals

I think a site with accredited tradesmen on under headings such as Plumbing, Electrical etc etc would be good though,

It is not worth near 13-1400. Automatic appraisals tend to give at least 10x what a domain us really worth without a dedicated end user. For example I got a domain appraised at over $2,000 and fidnt even reg it. I also got a domain appraised at $4,600 and sold it barely over reg fee. That being said I think it's a decent domain that you could sell for a decent price. Just don't expect $1400.

More to the point, .net & .biz are taken but undeveloped. The .co.uk is taken, so there is one possible end user.

In the "real world" a handyman is a jack of all trades and a master (expert) of none. And $1400 is an outlandish appraisal and yes, I shoot from the hip (and sometimes the groin). IMO.
