Hi there!

Total newbie at this, I've been a web developer for years but never bought/sold before, saw this and bought it as it was available, I'm under no illusions that the TLD is junk, but in my opinion the name has value over what I bought it for.

Thoughts? Thanks for any comments :)

Bump, is it worthless? Someone told me it's not a TLD which makes me think I completely wasted my money

Hi

it's a second level domain, very much similar to other double dot extensions managed by centralnic

i once sold a us.com domain for a couple of G's and think i still own one or two.

some may get traffic, and if yours does, that's a bonus :)

nice kw though

It's very possible. The keyword is nice, but indeed it's a subdomain, not a real domain.
it all depends on the odds of selling, I could shoot you a number but if nobody wants to buy it, it's like it's worthless.
Not the easiest type of sale anyway.

I know the lack of liquidity on these types of domains make them hard to sell, but any rough estimates on what people would consider fair/good/excellent prices would be very much appreciated.

I don't think you will find much of any value from a reseller. There are some interesting recent sales of .us.com according to Namebio:

screensavers.us.com $2,000 2011-03-21 sedo
cam.us.com $850 2011-03-07 sedo
privacy.us.com $950 2011-03-02 sedo
physician.us.com $2,990 2011-01-13 sedo
payroll.us.com $650 2011-01-12 sedo
dom.us.com $500 2011-01-09 sedo
play.us.com $1,000 2011-01-09 sedo

I would put it on Sedo and see what happens. As with any decent short keyword, there is always a chance that you could have an end user inquiry but what is the real probability? Probably way less than 1% and how quickly will your yearly reg fees eat into any potential profit? These are questions to ask yourself.

it's as real as any of these:

.co.uk or .co.za or .uk.com or .br.com or .com.br or .com.au or .co.in or .org.uk, etc, etc

and if you can sell them for real money, what's the diff?

I think the domain has potential. I think it would be ideal for any US based company with an ECO policy or general recycling companies etc. Just 2 possible end users. $XXX - XXXX end user price looking at the posted previous sales.

For a reseller might be worth $50

Hi there

.com.br is an OFFICIAL brazilian country code second level domain.
.br.com is absolutely NOT OFFICIAL.

It´s a HUGE difference :imho:

Yes, I am brazilian and I never seen a site br.com. This kind of extensions looks like subdomains to me.
