EcchiDOTmobi and HentiaDOTmobi.

Ecchi: Ecchi is the spelling of the Japanese pronunciation of the letter H. Origins as a shortened form of Hentai used as a polite codeword in the 60s. Ecchi in Japan is now broadly used to refer to all sexual content or activity.
All common extensions already registered.
Google Search Results for Ecchi: over 2.5 million.
Global Monthly Search Volume for Ecchi: over 300,000.

Hentia: Mispelling of Hentai.
All common extensions already registered.
Google Search Results for Hentia: over 1.4 million.
Global Monthly Search Volume for Hentia: over 90,000.

I figured these would be great for delivering anime/hentai/manga media in a format suitable to mobiles in Japan and globally.

Please Appraise.

BUMP

Did a bit more research and found that Ecchi had an exact Local (Japan/Japanese) April Search Volume of 90,500.

The Japanese character version [エッチ] in comparison had an exact Local (Japan/Japanese) April Search Volume of 673,000 with a Global Monthly Search Volume (GMSV) of over 800,000.

Broad GMSV: Ecchi = 1 million
Broad GMSV: エッチ = 2.7 million

Any mobi/Japanese market specialists have any opinions on Ecchi, as well as, Hentia, .mobi?

TIA

Yup reg fees in that extension.

The Japanese are years ahead of the US in mobile computing - it's more common than computers among youth. I can't see where the mobi extension would have any impact here as the market is already well established.

Thanks, I was hoping for a reply from someone based in Japan. I think in the future people will have a mobile/pc hybrid and I was expecting the .mobi to be even more suitable for Japan for the reasons you mention.
