According to godaddys appraisal, it would sell at auction for mid to high XX,XXX's
That is obviously a load of crap? I am a newbie.... Do those appraisals mean anything, or have I fallen for a marketing tactic?

The bad news: yes, paid appraisals (especially from Godaddy and the like) are generally worthless, and just a marketing tactic.

The good news: you do have a really nice domain here. I could see it selling for $X,XXX easily. Good luck!

to me mid-high xxx as cool=fun

but low xxxx cool=water sports, good luck.

cant use the nets owner's pricing to set a water mark on your com value, but instead its just a piece of info.
