What do y'all think of 512gb.com?
Every other memory capacity related domain I have searched for seems to be in use and its a capacity that will hit the usb stick / flash card market in the next few years...
***update***
(if its not already obvious i'm a n00b)
I've done a bit of research, DNsaleprice.com is telling me that 1gb.com sold for $7000 in Jan '11. Appreciate that its a LCC.com but even with the extra 2 characters would it be a signal that 512gb might have a market?
***update 2***
Also using the Google AdWords tool I've collected global monthly searches of the natural progression in memory data increases that 512gb.com is part of. Results were as follows:
256mb = 301,000
512mb = 673,000
1gb = 1,830,000
2gb = 1,830,000 (no typo same as 1gb)
4gb = 2,240,000
8gb = 2,740,000
16gb = 1,830,000
32gb = 1,220,000
64gb = 368,000
128gb = 110,000
256gb = 60,500
512gb = 22,200
1024gb = 3,600 (1tb has 1,000,000)
If graphed this it would show a perfect normal curve and since 8gb is at the tip of the curve (speculate: the current optimum mobile phone flash memory capacity) it looks like 512gb can only get more global searches in the next few years.
[also hate me for quoting it but estibot reckons $0 and an instant Sedo suggestion only $100]
*** update 3 (promise no more) ***
I've attempted to show my newbie method of working out how much a domain like this should be worth without actually trying to estimate one myself... any feedback not only on price but also the best way to appraise a domain like this would be much appreciated.
