1LDN.com

as in 'One London'

Very little exact search results for obvious reason but surely a very brandable domain? Plus there are plenty of possible end users with company names, addresses etc with 'One London'.

Any thoughts?

A shop or boutique in London may be interested. You might need to wait for a while and hope .London does not spoil the fun.

Has Some Potencial

LDN also stands for Low-dose naltrexone something to do with multiple sclerosis. So it Might be a valuable name in medical fields but I'm not sure as far as the London angle but you never know. Patience is a virtue or try your hardest but cheapest way to make something of it and once you get some traffic on it might have more value. A blog on Low-dose naltrexone might help you give it a kick start.

Cheers Muratonder, I did notice the medical link which definitely gives me another angle to work with, perhaps a blog is the way forward!

Thank You! Since you like the Idea I made somewhat of a logo for you. I'm sure you can tinker with it and make it a lot better if more time was put into it but this might give you a different view.
Wouldn't let me attach for reason Guessing file size too big. it was a 7mb .PNG file. Here is to link on my google drive

Thats great! Is that what you do for a living? I would be pretty useless at designing something like that!

Might well have to pinch it from you :)

Thanks!

No Problem Its Yours.

LMAO! No pinching is necessary...I made that for you, so do what you please with it. After all there is absolutely no use for it for me. It is your site. It's dirt cheap to start a basic site. Hopefully you can get some traffic on it and you have a decent sale in the future. Good Luck to you. The file is actually animated and some parts move around but for some reason my software is only saving it as an image and the .SVG file never saved. If I have the time to get around to it I will send you the .SVG file also. It definitely looks better in motion.

No I don't do this for a living, Well maybe kind of, I'm a photographer/graphic artist/and more towards advertizing. I'm tired of some of these sites where you pay to showcase your work and you really don't see good results (Good Names Anyway). So just for fun We are starting a website called NameChowder.com where we will showcase peoples Domain Names through Graphic Arts and Photography. If lets say you have a premium domain name to sell, it will be done so only through Imagery as the one I sent you and presented to everyone in home page as sliding pictures and a gallery page where all the pictures/images/logos will be featured. And if someone likes an image it will be linked to the registar where you are selling the name at. In the beginning we won't be selling domain names through our site till we set something up with Escrow.Com. Being that its a showcase website and not a domain registrar we won't be making money off the final sale but rather the uploading of the pictures to showcase on the site itself so there won't be any Ads on there, The domain names will be our Ads. And all pictures that are uploaded will also be shown through our Name Chowder twitter account, and Name Chowder Facebook account.
The names would have to qualify and meet certain standards and if you don't have a logo/image we will provide services for a fee. It is still in working process and NameChowder.com is almost ready to go up so keep your eyes open.

Resale value: low $x - low $xx. This domain does only have a few of the characteristics of a typical high value domain. It's short and .com, beside that it's up the hill. Cross your fingers and hope someone with a lot of $ is currently looking for a domain and 1LND is the new hot thing :)

Sure you could make a blog, but that's time consuming and a lot harder than most expect. Especially in such a technical area. The domain also has a potential as an URL shortener...

Agree with you but i think it has more value then $x thats low balling it. And blog might be time consuming to me and you but not all. What if someone was a stay at home mom that owned this domain. she can make more revenue in advertizing alone then the $x you're pretty much appraising. There are dozens of sites like this http://www.ldnresearchtrust.org/ who could benefit from advertizing on his or her blog. And Blogs are FAR FAR from complicated. I can point you to many sites where you can start up in less then an hour for dirt cheap. and they even will do the advertizing on your page if you didn't know HTML. With WordPress it can be done for pretty much free if you use an extra laptop as your server. That might get complicated but a lot cheaper then accepting $x for any name. And it will be better then a parked page even with revenue then just sitting on it. if the person did have the time for it you should maybe do so because they are not gonna ripen up that much with age. Another thing is Trade mark scares. Say I had dukeburgers.com and was holding it and next year some company comes out and starts dukeburgers
would it be considered cyber squatting and can they take the name from you. Now what if it was a one page recipe for a Burger website. Can they still trademark that name and take it from you if you can prove that you've been using this site since you bought it and that technically they are violating your copyright.

I don't know if you checked out the link I attached but that is a simple start to his Blog page and all he has to do is fill it with content.

It's hard to value as it's hard, at this point, to identify a user....perhaps a blog, London City guide etc, but I think it's a cool looking name and I'd hang onto it in case you can find a suitable target to sell to.

Thanks sandbrook, think you have hit the nail on the head here. Not been on the hunt long but have sent 50+ emails out to potential end users - one reply from what I thought was one of my best hopes and they were not interested so I could be hanging on to this one for the long haul I think. :(

50 Emails doesn't sound a lot but finding potential targeted end users has proven far harder than id hoped, but we live and learn.

Agree, if it was, for instance LondonPlumbers, obviously youd have a great target, but really hard to pin this down.

Definitely worth keeping it ticking away, you might find a club or restaurant called "1" or "one" or perhaps a landmark Norman Foster building called "1" in a few years time.

I can imagine a funky wine bar called 1LDN for sure.
