I’m new at this domain name game and forums. Until recently, I had not purchased a domain name since I bought one for our company 7 years ago at Netw. Solu. I live in a remote region of a national park in Europe creating energy from a nearby creek and until the new wireless connections had no idea what was happening out there. You can imagine how surprised I was to see all of the changes since then.
I started checking out all of the (basically) unrestricted ccTLD’s and was surprised to find domains such as Pizz.as, hotdo.gs, and far.ms. Are these domains worth anything now or in the future? Maybe I am missing the point.
There are pizza or pizzas dot com, net, org, us, cc, tv, ca, info bla bla bla …. To me it seems a lot easier to remember Pizz.as domain. I have even discovered that all I have to do is type pizz.as in the address bar of my browser (without www or http://) and I come to my page. I like the e-mail addresses too.
Some of the other names I found to be free are:
Thin.gs
Ite.ms
Fro.gs
Oh.io
Progra.ms
App.ly
Weddin.gs and
Paintin.gs
Do I have something here or are these just good personal domains? I would appreciate your input.
