Hey there :) Hope you guys are having a good day.

I just bought this domain name and was wondering how much you would valuate this. My idea was to target big pizza companies and trying selling to them. Companies like Domino's, PizzaHut and so on might take advantage of this domain for a great offline campaign (in the trains for example, where people use their phones most and need a short url) plus all the benefits that come with the keywords in the domain name.

Estibot valuate this 11.000$.

What would you sell this domain for?
Thank you very much

It's a backwards term, poor English, has very little value to a corporate type user.

Since you are new, forget about automated appraisal tools.
I am not aware of one single sale in .best to backup that zany appraisal.

The companies that you mentioned are all heavily branded (on .com) and don't need that kind of domain. It's just another extension.

in my opinion, if you would secure best.pizza you would have very premium domain name. Now pizza.best is a backwards term, but..I can imagine new brand built around it..It would be like "lets eat at PizzaBest" :) This is not bad at all.

However, .best has quite pricey renewal, like USD 89 at United Domains where I buy a lot, and I guess this might be also your case..that means, in order to make some real profit, you might to do some active outbound marketing so you can sell this domain for nice profit. So I think if you can actively reach to right end user and sell the name, you can obtain higher XXX-lower XXXX for it within next 2 years. But this domain is not suitable for passive approach (which is to hold it and wait 15 years if somebody is interesting, paying only 9 USD a year), as it really cost quite a lot to hold it.

Estibot valuation: in many case it does not really make a sense, it is only automated engine. Still, this valuation is pretty nice in this case, and you can use it as part of your selling efforts, as it gives some indications, although very fuzzy. (and It is always better to have Estibot valuation of USD 11 000 then USD 110).

All the best :)

Yes I know that but I just wanted to provide all the info I had. I agree estibot is not that relevant but their results do have a point, as they are based on many stats that come useful when trying to valuate a domain name.
Regarding already heavi-branded .com I have to disagree. Many bigs use temporary fancy domains to promote a campaign, I'm not saying they are gonna buy it to replace the current one of course. Thank you for your time anyway, I see what you mean!

Thank you very much for the effort lolwarrior, I really appreciate all you said! I totally agree about a new brand too, even if backwards it still makes a bit of sense in my opinion, so yeah a potential company called "pizza best" sounds legit to me.

Correct I pay 88/year on namecheap.

Agreed also about estibot, I know it's not a reliable tool to base your prices on but I still think it's a good starting point. I realised many buyers still partially rely on estibot's value and like you said better an estibot 11k than 0, since the value is generated based on valuable information like monthly search for example.

Thank you very very much I will certainly follow your suggestions :)

Cheers

Incorrect. The only people who use estibot are people who are desperate to hear something positive about their domain name. An enduser or half-educated reseller will absolutely never use estibot as a justification for price. Estibot is the worst possible starting point because it's giving you a false sense that your domain is valuable, which it's not. A word of advice; eliminate it entirely from your web browser. Best of luck
