If Pida is "ask" in spanish then what you have is something potentially huge. Instead of a PIDA.US (united states) you could look at is as ASK US. That's not bad at all and has major major major brandability potential.

I would say keep it and brand it to an immigration site. Team up with an immigration attorney in a major market (say Houston or Miami). Think about how big that could be?

yes, pida does mean 'ask' in spanish.

And it does read as 'ask us'

What would you put the reseller price as, btw?

I think you might get a few hundred bucks from a resller - maybe even $500 but that would be such a total and complete waste of such a nice domain with so much potential.

You need an immigration attorney with vision and big pockets. This domain just cries out to be HUGE!! Seriously the immigration market in itself is massive ... through some catchy marketing behind it and my head hurts from just thinking of the earnings potential of this domain.

Thanks!

That's got me excited...I'll mail some attorneys in Houston, San Diego and Miami

Well, actually you must take into account that "Pida" is like a formal invitation to ask.

Also, "ask" translates into two different words in spanish: "pedir" (to ask, to request) and "preguntar" (to ask, to make a question).

So "ask us" would be "pídanos" or "pregúntenos".

Usually generic spanish terms work really well when they are nouns. When it comes to verbs in infinitive form (or even worse, conjugated verbs like yours) the thing is different by far...

So my appraisal for pida.us is $XX as much and I would advice you to focus in the acronym meaning of the term rather than in the spanish translation.

Good luck with it! :)

Don't think they would go for it, but you could always try & see if you get lucky

I'm not talking about the domain being read as "Ask us", but the .us extension being read as "Us" instead of United States
Then it would mean "Pida Us", or "Ask Us"

What do you think?

That does not make much sense, does it?

What would you think of a domain like ASK.nos?? It loses all the "catchy" thing of ask.us (ask us).

Same with "pida". If you had something like pida.nos (pídanos) it could work... but pida.us (pida us) obviously is not the same.

I am trying to help you not to get overexcited after some comments from people who dont even speak spanish :) . The name is not bad but it doesnt work really well in spanish.

By the way, the name visitantes.org is quite good (I'd say more for developing than for reselling). The .org extension hurts but it is still the best on your list in my opinion.

btw, I am selling visitantes.org
