[url]www.PicPop.com[/url] (PR4). Gets from 1500 to 2500 uniques a day. Note: This site is slightly NSFW (some bikini pics, light profanity on some of the pictures, things like that. No nudity though!).
PicPop is an online image gallery with a heavy focus on funny forum pictures. If you've ever heard of "Owned", "STFU", "I'd hit it", etc., those are the types of pictures mainly found here. PicPop was launched in August 2003 and is to the best of our knowledge the very first site on the web to focus on this particular brand of humor.

There are more than 10 thousand pages from PicPop indexed in Google. It's listed at DMOZ, in Google's web directory, and Alexa under the Recreation\Humor\Archives\Image Galleries section.
The database contains over 1800 pictures, 721 registered members (people only have to register if they want to upload pictures), and 2651 comments at this moment. The site runs on a php\mysql image gallery script which has been heavily modified to make it totally search engine friendly. There is a full admin backend that allows for easy administration of pictures, comments, users, uploads, etc. This is also one of the relatively few humor sites out there that doesn't show pop-ups, doesn't have ActiveX downloads, etc. although hey if you're the new owner you can do whatever you like with it.
Revenue-wise, PicPop makes money from AdultFriendFinder, AdBrite, affiliate ads, and private ad\link deals. Monthly earnings from AdultFriendFinder and AdBrite for March fell right around $80. I try various affiliate programs out from time to time on the site with good results and recently sent hits to a new program which made a sale that earned $20 pretty easily. The site also functions as a great way to syphon traffic into other related web sites, which is excellent for link exchanging and for promoting new sites quickly. I spend nothing on advertising this web site. Traffic is primarily from word-of-mouth, search engines, and from a few link exchanges via the referers script at the bottom of the site. I do not have AdSense on the site (never have) as a lot of the pics have profanity on them and I didn't want to get kicked out.

PicPop ranks #1 on Google for "stfu pictures", #1 for "I'd hit it pictures", #2 for "funny forum pictures", #3 for "owned pictures" (out of 11 million listings), #3 for "funny avatars" and is listed on the first page of listings for almost any phrase dealing with these categories. That's just Google. We gets visitors from MSN, AOL, Yahoo!, other sites linking to it, and also from type-in traffic. The phrase picpop.com has an OVT of 42 (with ext) and we get a lot of hits from people searching for the phrase "picpop" or "pic pop", showing that the name has been branded into public awareness . This is a popular web site and continues to grow in traffic every day. The site is currently set up with a hotlink blocker to prevent bandwidth loss due to people hotlinking the pictures in forums, etc. The hotlinked images are replaced with a new one which serves to advertise the site even more. Since the images are linked all over the place this serves as an excellent advertising medium to get more visits to the site.
This is a personal favorite web site of mine. I've owned the domain since 2001 and the site has been what it is since 2003. I use it mainly to promote my other web sites and it has a value based on that factor even without the extra revenue earned from advertising. Between the literal money earned from the programs I mentioned above and other similar ones, and the money earned from my other sites by passing traffic to them, I would estimate the site earns around $150 a month.
