PhpBB Login system help

does anyone know how the phpBB login system works? such as cookies, sessions, ect.

and if so, what are the variables for each one (like what should be in the cookie and session data, ect.)

no, im building a website around the phpBB system, and i want it to all be integrated, but I need to know what the session and cookie variables are for it

well, i went searching through it, and I think this is the answer to it

im guessing it handles everything else also, but I am going to give that a try

I tried copying the code from the phpbb login bit to a new php file and I used my username and pword and it didn't work
