Phpbb and adsence

hello.
got a question, may be somebody can help me. I have phpbb forum-portal made on ez-portal base. i am trying to put a google search box on the portal. i tryed to put it inside a block, i tryed to put it in footer, header, everywhere possible. when i try to search something thru this search box, all it does just reloading my same page. does anybody have been experiencing this kind of problem?

Do you mean you made it thru a instant set up thing that gives you a URL like www.example.com/forum?id=yourname ? If so, you can't do what you want. If you hosted it yourself, edit the file overall_footer.tpl which can be found in the file:
templates/<template name here, normally subsilver>/overall_footer.tpl

no i did not. i have some experience in creating boxes for portals in phpbb, where you can have html codes. And this is exactly what google help suggest. So i was trying to fit google search code inside of this boxes. when i do that, i see google box. i just cannot use it. i type my search, i click "search" , all portal page is reloading and nothing else happening. no google search results. I tryed to contact google, but no answer so far.

If it is anything like mybb (My Bulliten Board) then all you have to do is put it in the template. If that doesnt work i may have to install php_bb again man i hate that.

it is running 2 years old forum with bunch of hacks installed in it. i cant just reinstall. but it does not work in templete.
