I am not sure where to post this so moderators please be kind.
I am looking for volunteers to work on a open source project for Virtuemart, a shopping cart system for Joomla.

We can set this up in a way where we give this out for free and you can cross promote your programming services on the site where we give away the virtuemart/joomla mod.
The Project:
Gift Certificates/Store Credit
If you do a search on Virtuemart for gift certificate this is a highly sought after mod.
I think the name explains itself, the modification would allow store owners to sell gift certificates to customers and the system would track the credit through the customers account and apply the credit at checkout.
There is already a mod with joomla that will allow members to purchase credit and allow the site owner to add credit to members accounts, however that's where the mod stops.

It's called Vodes and this is the description:
"Vodes allows your users to purchase the credits (vodes) on your site. The component handles the payments adding the user credits automatically to the database using the PayPal IPN system. It also has administration of the credits and configuration in the backend. The credits are intended to be spent to vote for articles and polls, donate, finance the development of information goods, access various areas and other purposes of your choice."
I've never put a project like this together so if I can get someone to advise me on how to set this project up that would be great.
I want to do this project in such a way that would allow programmers to put in as little or as much time as they wanted into this, almost like the way a wiki is handled where people can add to the project whenever they have time.
