Hi Guys

I just recently purchased the domain name PhotoshopPlanet.com and presently developed it into a forum site for Photoshop users and graphic designers in general.

Can you appraise its domain name only and if I sell it with the developed forum how much does it cost also.

I am planning to make it also a portal to major Photoshop enthusiast sites.

Isn't photoshop TMed?

If so, nothing as you would expect. And the only thing that makes me think elsewise is that dgridley (I believe it was him) said that it's so commonly used that the TM might be dilluted.

If not this is a great name for photoshop tutorials. There are so many out there for everything so even you don't have enough space to host all of them you can just put links to them.

Value is harder on this though. It's brandable, but who searches photoshop planet? I would have to say Low/Med XX wholesale, but a possibly very high end user.

Yeah, even though the name is trademarked, I assume if you used it as a tutorial or discussion site, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Also, people use the term "photoshopped" in place of "edited" a photo, no matter what program the person might have used.

I would say anywhere from High-XX to Med-XXX. More if you throw up a forum/portal with tutorials and photosjop information.

Trademark is not really an issue here. You can find dozens of Photoshop communities and help sites that use the 'photoshop' mark in their domains.

For it's proposed purpose, the domain is perfect. If I owned it, I would value it around $500-750.

As Dgridley has pointed out TM no longer becomes an issue because 'Photoshop' has been so diluted that perhaps the TM owners would nt mind anymore.. In fact if I were the owner of Photoshop, it would be a 'glory to me' :hehe:

Don't have Photoshop but use Photobrush and other Photoshop compatible progs, so registered as dgridley.. looks good!
