Question regarding photoshop. Is their a way you can cut an image or save only a selected part of an image? ie. I want to have the image enclosed in a circle?

Thanks

What I think you are getting at here done with two or more layers. Put the image you want to "enclose" into a circle on top of the layer containing that circle. (This circle layer can be what ever you want to enclose).

Line them up one over the after, select the top layer (layer to be enclose) and press "CTRL + G" (sorry I do not know the mac short cut but if you are a mac user you will get it), and tada, image enclosed in a circle! :D Hope this helps,

Warm Wishes,

CTRL + G

CTRL+G is "Group with Previous", here is a quick guide to the CTRL+G finction:

cntrl-g-1.jpg

This image is the layer you are going to group the next layer into.

cntrl-g-2.jpg

This image shows the top layer is selected in the layers box and is above the circle layer. With this layer selected press "CTRL G", or Go To "Layer" >> "Group with Previous" in your top photoshop tool bar.

cntrl-g-3.jpg

This image is the final result, the top layer is now grouped inside the circle, great for many uses :D Hope this helps,

Warm Wishes,

Ah, thanks for that great explanation. I've used this before, but never knew the shortcut key version. Excellent examples. Sent a couple NP$ your way for this. ;)
