One suggestion

Allow people to upload videos of their pets and tell a little about them including the pet's name and why they chose that name for the their pet. I'm sure most pet owners have video clips of their pets playing, etc. Also have a section for those funny pet moments you see on "America's Funniest Home Videos"

Then allow people to vote if name fits the the pet.

Have a monthly contest for the most unique and most appropriate pet name.

Get a sponsor like PetSmart to give away a gift card to the winners

Also, put a message board about pet names using vbulletin

And put a classified area for pet adoption, pet supplies, etc.

Not everything in .TV space is about a TV show, it is about visual and pet owners love looking at and discussing pets. One "trap" is to only focus on the "visual" (video) aspect of the site. Have the visual be a central theme supported by user generated content. I don't think your site can be 100% video for it to work. You need to blend video with user generated content.

Developed your domain could be worth 4 to 6 figures depending on traffic. Undeveloped, the domain is worth $50.

Undeveloped - 0 00 reg fee. This is a reg name that is fighting from the get go to have anything to do with media content.

As such, a .com name reg would suffice and media content could then be added.

No one has has ever said, and obviously would be incorrect to do so, that you cannot have a media rich content site with .com....look around the internet today......COM has stunning media content stes.

Th whole point about .TV is the intuitiveness of the ext to fit the content rich site thaht is bring produced - thus making sense to both audience and web design that this site is one mega punch of a site.

PETNAMES.TV serves neither.
