I heard that if you use a laptop you get an extra 3 cents from adsense earnings....but seriously it makes no difference what type of computer. Where do you plan on doing your "internet work?" Do you travel to different places to do work?

I feel like a desktop is more reliable. You can:
Not really drop it
Easily replace broken parts yourself
Is higher performance/desktop space

So I would stick with a desktop.

It depends. If you're travelling on a train I would presume that you'd rather work using a laptop then have a PC stuck on your knees :p

I prefer a laptop since they are portable - but I also have an old desktop, so I just alternate between whichever I feel like using at the time.

lap top is better as you cant take your pc and with you outside due to its huge set up

plus if i see on the other side of the picture
then its depends upon you how much you are sincere with your work .....
nothing matters whether you have lap top or pc ......

Ooh, I just remembered another benefit of laptops! You can get a Mac, or some other nice looking laptop and be seen relaxing in coffee shops and similar places using your laptop. That will impress people and make you young and hip :P

Well one is just as good as the other for working on the Internet...but it depends on your use. You could have a fixed office space with either one, but with a laptop you have the freedom to take it with you if you feel like working outside that day or going to a coffee shop, etc. Whereas the desktop you're confined to one spot.

I have both a desktop and a laptop. I love being able to take my laptop out on the deck on a nice day or take it with me if I travel somewhere. Both have their disadvantages and advantages...just have to decide which would fit you better.

I love both tbh. Laptop for mobility around the house and desktop if I want a really comfortable desk chair! Nah if its just surfing and stuff and you don't need a super bad gaming pc with the latest hardward a lappie would be fine. Just remember if you get a laptop you're kind of stuck in that technology as opposed to desktops being pretty upgradeable after the purchase.
