Pending delete?

What does pening delete mean in whois?

This is what happened:

I checked on justdropped.com for domains that would be dropped tonight at midnight. Then I try to register it, but it is already taken. Then I check the whois of that domain and it says "Pending delete". What does that mean, and when will the pending be over?
