PCNames.com - many advanced domain search tools. Won award for top AJAX site of 2006.

I worked on the site for over a year, but now I've moved on to other things and don't really have time for it. Right now the site averages only about 500 uniques/day and makes about $1,400 USD per month from affiliates.

It was doing a lot better back when I was actively working on it (few months ago). How much do you think the site is worth if I were to sell it?

It's a great site - I use it regularly to check possible names. Hope whoever buys it will keep it going...

Don't have the money or the skills to run this - but I'd value it closer to 10K+

If it's earning $1,400/month profit consistently, at least $15,000 (income - expenses x 12)

That only takes into account the profits the site generates without advertising. What about the complexity of the site. Many of the domain tools on the site took months of work to create. Or what about pagerank, # of links, etc.

Is there any kind of standard way of determining the worth of a site?

If the site is generating $1400 per month in profit, that is a result of all the work and effort you put into building the "complexity" and functionality of the site. The market value of the site can only be determined by the dollars it generates. The pagerank, the backlinks, or any other assets of the site all contribute to making it a $1400 per month site, so adding extra value on top of that is duplicating the value.

"Advertising" would be an extra expense to the buyer, taking away profits to do so, so you really can't use the argument of "that's what the site generates without advertising". If YOU advertised the site and increased the profit per month, then of course you could expect more proportionally.

The only thing that can raise the value above just the revenue it generates is if there are components of the site that can be converted to revenue. For example, if the domain name alone had a market value of $_____.__, then you could expect to add that figure to the selling price of the site. If the scripts could be licenced to others, then that could influence the sale price of the site.

A very nice site...I wouldn't let it go for anything less than 18k due to the amount of revenue, traffic, domain, PR plus the scripting and effort put into the site.

Great site, I used to use it quite often :)

Don't let it go less than 1.5 K.

I don't have much time for it, so if I get a good offer then I'll let it go.
