What do you think of my new layout? I want my website to look more professional than it did before. Is the logo professional-looking enough?

Site review

Hi. First of all, I like your template. It has good borders, nice colours and a very beautiful banner. Second, the news feed and content is well-based. Third, I think you need a forum for your site!

Good luck with your site!

Overall Rating: 9/10

If you liked my review and comments, you can add rep for me.

Regards.

:hi:

I like the colours. The banner looks good in my opinion but if there's a real graphics person in the house they may disagree but I like it. I like your placement of the google ads and it blends in with your site colours aswell.

Your content seems good aswell but I've not as much time as I'd like and wasn't able to go through ALL of it.

Good Site and Dont Let it drop!

You should never use royal blue for anything much on a website. It looks so tacky. It is the standard color for anything on websites, mainly links that aren't formatted, and it looks old and "standard".

The logo looks a little plain to be blunt. I think that you can easilly make it much better. Firstly do something with the background. If you overlay a gradient over the blue you can come out with a nice effect, and the text is too boring as well. The font you are using is a little unprofessional, and adds a more informal, and amateurish feel to the site. If this is what you want that is OK, it dosen't look too bad, but you could brighten up the text a lot, Add some effects such as a gradient, a drop shadow, maybe a glow.

Lastly, I think that you should change the blue color of everything on your page. It is overused and too in-your-face due to the fact that it is the only color on a mainly black and white website. Used in moderation it may be ok, if you were to choose a slightly different hue of blue, don't be afraid to experiment. Another idea would be to introduce other colors into your website. The best way to do this is to put some photos up, and by that I mean bright and colorful professional photos.

You could, in fact, play on the idea of wires in your logo, and use bigger wires for headers on menus and content boxers, instead of just straight white-on-blue boxes. You site seems very "square" and needs to be a little more curvy, if you know what I mean, getting some graphics on the site would make it more curvy, especially wires!
