I just had my first PayPal complaint today ever. To make a long story short, the first guy who had bought my script removed my link from the script without purchasing a private label license. He also said he would pay for a private label licence if I added a feature, which I did. However, he refused to pay for the license and kept the link off. After asking him nicely a few times, I finally told him that he was violating the license today unless he simply puts the link back on, pay the money he promised in the first place, or take down the site. What does he do? He complains to PayPal to get his money back. Thankfully, this person is on another forum besides NP
.
When I went to PayPal to say this guy was nuts, I only saw 3 options: provide a full refund, provide a tracking number, or say that a refund was already given. Since I was tired of the guy and I didnt want any trouble, I provided a full refund. However, I noticed later that "This policy applies only to the sale of tangible, physical goods and excludes all other sales and services, pursuant to section 1 above."
So I didnt have to give a refund? I noticed his note to PayPal was "The seller promised items and has yet to deliver them,
therefore I wish to receive a full refund." He has had my script for over 2 weeks lol. Did this guy just abuse PayPal's policy or what? Also, what can I do if this unfortunate thing happens again?
I know its not domain related but I did not know where else to ask it. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks.
