This is my first international business.
Did you send the buyer authorization code first or he Paypal you first, or you have a smarter idea? :santa:

show me the money - it's an accepted norm.

give them a link to any ebay or namepros trader feedback if they're worried, and you might also let them know paypal offers support if there's any probem with the transaction

When selling to fellow domainers I ask that they pay first, but when dealing with end-users attached to established websites it's generally safe to push the domain first. Offering to do this in your sales pitch makes potential buyers feel more comfortable about biting on your offer and results in higher sales conversions. Out of at least 30 end-user domain sales in which I've pushed first I have yet to encounter a buyer who did not pay me shortly afterward. When sending the buyer a PayPal invoice they filled out immediately after accepting my push in virtually every case.

I never use Paypal unless the transaction amount is something I am comfortable losing, since that is always a possibility.

I would prefer some type of Escrow for any reasonable sized transaction.

Money first in most cases. If it is very large amount, its safe to use escrow service.

there are two ways to change the owership:
1) push, this one you need the money first. There is no auth code involved.
2) transfer to another registrar. This one is questionable whether you get money first. If you give the auth code first and then the buyer does not pay, then you may still have the time to reverse the transaction. However this is very risky.
