This is the most important contest I've ever put up on here! It's for our soon to be launched company called "Flair Pair".

Please not this is not "FLARE", it's "FLAIR"!!

Guidelines:

Colors: Harmonic, 3 Max
Img Type: Vector
Palette: CMYK
Preferable font to use: Modern serif-type style

We are looking for an abstract design. Logo should include the phrase "Flair Pair" somewhere in the design.

Abstract:

"1. A design whose forms have been reduced or modified from representational forms or a design using non-representational forms."

I just want to point out it's "FLAIR" not "FLARE"

1. A natural talent or aptitude; a knack: e.g. a flair for interior decorating.
2. Instinctive discernment; keenness: e.g. a flair for the exotica.
3. Distinctive elegance or style: e.g. served us with flair.

So this has nothing to do with fire, it's more to do with definition 3, "distinctive elegance".

Please think more "corporate" when designing, we intend to use these on our business cards as well.

I'm in a partnership on this project with Daichi (virtualraceday) and I see that there is not much of creativity so far.

I'm posting these two examples to show you what kind of quality we expect. These are just examples, DO NOT use them as a reference, use your own imagination, and certainly do not copy them .

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your entries so far. I can't say that anything has stood out to me as a "Distinctive elegance or style". This is your biggest clue! I think vivsin is definitely on the right track with his 2nd attempt now that Milos has put up a sample or two.

The other entries have been a bit too simple, or not on the same theme as what we were thinking. I think now that there is an example to look at, there will be better understanding of what we are looking for.

In the examples, the "pair" idea is worked on, therefore there are 2 shapes. I hope this gives some guidance.

Another guideline...
