Just wanted to know what you guys think about patent.net I know it's a good one, but what type of appraisal would you put on it? I am currently the top bidder on Namejet. I appreciate your insights!

It's not wise to ask for an appraisal before the name is in your account. Too many eyes are now going to be on your targeted purchase. Still this name is worth $10k+ end user and I'd say $15-$20k is a pretty realistic valuation thats been made by the other posters, great .net.

Thanks all. It's a private auction. That's why I felt like it wouldn't matter if I mention it here. Hmm it's already at $3k now. I'm not sure if it's worth continuing to bid it up if it's worth 10-15k (who knows how long it will take to sell to an end user). There are 55 minutes remaining as I type this. What do you guys think?

I hope you have a development plan of some sort. As said above, demand for .net is soft and this is not a super-premium name, it is limited in scope and so is the pool of potential end users. 4Kish if you are prepared to wait for a long time.
I like .net but don't recommend investing heavily in it. For 2.5K you can buy a couple great .com at the same source...

Thanks Kate. That's what I was thinking too. I just think there are some patent attorneys out there that would fork over 10-20k for the domain, but I agree with you completely that I'm probably better off spending that money on a couple .com domains.
