I am wondering what this is worth? A friend of mine has registered it, and I dont know how he lucked out to grab it lol But I would like to hear what it can go for?

Are you sure it's xbox.net and not x-box.net?
I ask because you said your friend 'has registered' it... yet xbox.net has been registered for 14 years, since '99.

On the other hand, x-box.net was just registered recently and is up for auction in the auction section here right now... seems like quite a coincidence so that's why I asked.

In either case, this is a trademarked name and can only mean trouble to the owner. If it is x-box.net and your pal registered it, chances are it was available because the TM holder sent a c&d order to the previous domain owner/s and they dropped it...
