Parking companies don't get Mobi use!

Hi

I am a huge mobi user, read things, buy things, and list goes on and on through my blackberry

I deal with 4 parking companies, 1 china parking company

They have the technolgoy and backgrounds of being a nerd type person with technology, not saying it to be rude. I am a nerd tech junky some.

Takes forever to enter my parking companies, parked.com, couple others.

I am a stats person, main domain names are with parked and I keep trying log into my account tonight and can't. Yes I know, of the glitches but this happens before there big meltdown

I so wish parking companies learn more on on putting there sites into say parked.mobi use. By the way if any of you know the parked.com team tell them to buy parked.mobi for me and help the domainers that are away from there laptops, offices. Even though I am new, I been a nice buyer of names and having a simple website that is mobi ready be a huge help!

Or parked.com and other companies install update email options. Say parked.com installes an email feature in your account where they shoot off an email to you, your blackberry or that over hype junk ipod phone and you control how many updates you want while your on vacation, in car, having coffee, meetings and etc. They let the customer or us choose between 15 minute emails, 1 hour email update, morning or afternoon email. Shows stats, clicks, dollars and etc

Just my 2 cents worth. I don't mean to spotlight parked.com. Its everyone in this business that don't cater to busy, compulsive stats type people that can't check pc or laptop.

On a positive, like how parked updates you every 15 minutes. How cool is that!

I am sure donny and crew can do this pretty easy.

If your trying to park mobi's no parked company really does this yet. However I have 2 mobis at bodis.com that work their template is simple enough to work on my phone and has proper xml. I get like 1-4 hits a day and they report click traffic from them. The ad links probably dont work though since they redirect to somthing like orbitz.com insted of a mobile complient site.

Parking companies give us email updates with our clicks, views. When your away from pc and laptop or on vacation, they email you every 15 minutes, or 1 hour intervals

So email comes to your phone.

Simply put. Numbers dude lol and being able to be updated.

I assume your clueless on cells and checking your parked pages on your phone. It sucks!

So why not an email from the parking company for updates??

Your title should be "parking companies don't get e-mail use!" if all you want is to get traffic e-mails. I think parked.com actually offers somthing like this if you ask your account manager to enable it.

Yes you are right but they also don't get mobi use as stated above. Try checking your numbers on your phone and the parking company website

Point being 2 issues. First one being email and second one being mobi friendly so we the domainers can go to www.parked.mobi and check for updates.

Whoever has parked.mobi parked.com should buy the parked.mobi address

That's all and was trying prove this. Enough said.

Thanks for tip on rep being able to do this. I will ask. Wish every parking company could offer this and save me a lot of hassles.

Hi Jeff,

Parked.com has been completly down for about one week now and I just noticed it is back up. They had server problems.

Maybe that is why you were having trouble. I do know Sedo has parking for mobi and I have been getting pretty good traffic to my mobis parked there, but they are making a dime or less a click with Sedo.

As I had mentioned Bodis.com works with mobi sites. Bust out your phone and goto VacationFlorida.mobi . I think it looks great on my SE phone.

The reason no parking sites provide mobi support is because there are no advertisers. There just isn't a large develped network of mobi sites yet.

I think that was the point (somewhat circuitously stated).

When traveling, I think he wants to check his parking stats via "crackberry" (hehe). I believe most parking sites do not render correctly when viewed via mobile devices and Jeffoverman is suggesting that parking company either purchase & utilize dotMobi extensions or make their dotCom sites work with these (popular) mobile devices.

That's my understanding anyway....

Your right and finally someone gets what I am saying.

Checking your stats on blackberry is a pain in the ass. You need to type in your user name password, wait couple minutes and its a pain.

Namepros.mobi should teach parked companies how to utilize mobi formats. I do all my posts mainly when I am having coffee out, at work and etc.

However I would still rather see parking companies emailing us the domainers our stats every 1 hour or whatever. Well let's exclude bodis on this right now.

Just my 2 thoughts and a proud crackberry addict watching over my names and learning a lot on namepros.
