Parked site..lots of views no clicks. Why?

I have a typo of greekislands.com..greekisalnds.com that gets a couple 2-3 visits a day. It's parked at sedo. But I have yet to get more than one click. Is there something that I'm missing?

It's all travel related links with the key words being greek island which pulls up related cruises, info on the islands and greece. I wouln't mind developing it into a minisite. I might have more luck there, but that's going to take awhile. Im still learning.

Anyways, just thought I'd throw this out there.

Make the site look like the site your getting typos from

I'm sure it doesn't help that the parked page has the name mispelled real big at the top

My thought was that the type-in was from people that had probably never been to the actual non-typo site. I was thinking that they were just searching and searched in the url bar.

A mini site with the tag line "Hey, don't look now but you misspelled Greek Islands..But that's ok you've come to the right place. We have all the info you need on the islands, traveling to them, etc....."

have you messed with the keywords that you are using? maybe trying other parked domain places? i used domainhop.com before ..

the key words seem to be ok. I will look at domainhop. I think the real fix is a minisite instead of a parked page for this and I think the biggest problem is that it's very obviously a misspelling when you land on the page. If it wasn't so obvious (becouse of hte big bold title) I think people would stay longer and click.

Also, you need to understand just how LOW click through rates can be sometimes...its very frustrating! I sometimes get upwards of 50 views a month without a single click - there are many factors going into it, none of which I will even pretend to be an expert in!...I'd say if you think you're getting decent traffic, then try a few different parking services and see how you do - best of luck!

I have a bunch of names parked. But when I am surfing for information I hate coming upon one of those parking sites and I hit the back button as soon as possible. Now that I am name parking I don't hate the sites quite as much.

I know exactly what you mean.
I also don't hate the sites quite as much anymore. LOL.

It is amazing what effect being on the other side of the table (name parker) can do for ones perspective.
