Hello folks! VideoSearchScript is now available! This has been a project long in the making, and we will be selling it from now on.

What is it?

VideoSearchScript is a content indexing script inspired by Heggle.com. It uses RSS feeds to index content (wether it be videos, games, images, etc - it's completely up to you!). The script includes a clean layout which is very easy to customize with little or no PHP experience. It uses a PHP/MySQL backbone. Although designed to update every hour, you can have the script update at any custom interval!

Demonstration

You can test the admin panel in the demo by typing "admin:video" (without quotes) into the above or below search bar. This will give you administrative access. You can see further admin links at the bottom of the page after gaining access.

This script belongs solely to PalSys Network. If you have seen it for sale by someone else, it was either the original coder (who didn't ever sell a copy), or it is illegal. I would appreciate it if you could PM an URL where you saw this for sale.

Without sounding a little too full of my own product, it really is a great script. With the offer to upgrade all existing clients for free when the ffmpeg module is released, it's really unbeatable.

That thread shows a possible mistake being made that is completely seperate from this sale. We will handle that error professionally, like we handle all of our business.

As far as 'no deal after all,' you likely owe me $50 just in hourly wages will all of the questions and PMs I've received from you since this sale was launched. :D VSS is a great script, and sales have been huge. We are always sorry to lose a customer, but we'll live without your purchase.

To stay on topic, VSS is not only well worth the money on it's own, but the ffmpeg module will be released in two weeks tops, and the price will be much higher when it is. Existing customers, even at the introductory pricing, will receive this and all new modules free of charge.

Yes!! That's what makes the ffmpeg module so cool :D Right now the content is limited to feeds that display, among other things, image tags. YouTube and Google Video are examples of great feeds that do not display image tags. This new module will change all of that.

To be fair to the script in it's current state, there are many good feeds out there that work well. But this new module will just make it that much more compatible with the thousands of videos feeds available.

Ok, I bought a copy of the script to testdrive. After payment, the client area that I'm supposed to be returned to gave a "page not found" error -

The link you posted there is incorrect. The correct link is http://www.palsys.ca/clients

Your details are contained in your welcome email. They would consist of your registered email address and your chosen password.

Then you may wanna check your setup because I didn't manually enter the URL. That was the 2nd page I was redirected to after payment at Paypal.

There is no mention of username/password in the welcome email:

Once logged into the client center, click on the FILES button in the top navigation bar to access your download.

A detailed file named README.html is included in the package. This file contains both license information and full installation instructions.

I think you're correct about the PayPal redirection error, I'll look into that.

The only thing you chose was your email address and a password, so it's assumed that clients understand this acts as their user name and pass. In fact, the login area for the client center asks specifically for an email address. We have over 300 clients who use the same client center, and we haven't received any complaints yet. I'll keep this in mind however, and insert exact instructions into the welcome email.

Chris, I did not complain. I simply asked you if the username is the email address. And you replied that it's mentioned in the welcome mail, which clearly it isn't.
