I think the challenge here is that when this was a developed site, it was probably targeted at the Palm Pilot niche. That had a massive market back then. As we know that market is pretty much none existent anymore.

The domain still has some good branding potential though, perhaps there could be some end users (software developers that call themselves palm software or palm tree software or something like that)

IMO you could potentially get in the lower $xxxx for this domain.

I agree with everything you said. It does have value, but more as a brandable than what was once for a specific market.

Also, OP, do yourself a favor and don't look up estibot values - they will always steer you wrong especially with this one. :)

Thanks for ur honest feedback. I think this can well suit for any palm based softwares.. The history shows, domains from palm/ software niche have went well in IT sector.. let's see!!

I definitely think it is a strong brandable for that. The point is more that the term "palm" is almost never used for that category anymore (and that brand is gone afaik). Now keywords are along the lines of "mobile", "handheld", "tablet", "phone"/"smartphone", etc. So you will not be getting the value for it as a keyword so much.... but then again, a good branding campaign and strong company can bring back the keyword/term into common usage again. :)

I would not expect above low-mid $x,xxx for an enduser on this one, however. But anything can happen when you find the right buyer. :)

Best of luck!

Out of curiosity of what happened to the old Palm brand, I dug through the 888 active TMs involving the word "palm" and found some that could pose major problems for you, each with a TM on "Palm".... most of them being the original brand's TM (or a resurrection of it??) it seems and still active..

(not an exhaustive list btw, just the ones that caught my eye, I am not a TM lawyer and didn't spend too much time going through the list as it was long)

Honestly, if it were my domain, I would chat with a TM lawyer since the domain could have serious value without the TM issue, but it looks like this may actually null any value for you... Hard for me to see how your domain couldn't be argued to infringe on at least one of these TMs... As a software engineer and developer, I would personally stay away from such a domain in naming my company. That doesn't mean that everyone would avoid it, but I think it limits the demand on the domain and seriously lowers the price (Nobody wants to take the chance of having to pay legal fees just to find out they lose their name and need to rebrand). If there is a TM issue, you might still get some value from someone else willing to risk it on flippa or something.

Hope this helps and wish you the best!
