OwnTheMap.com update

Hey,

I posted on here some time ago about OwnTheMap.com and got quite a bit of interested from NP'ers, so I thought I'd provide a quick update.

For those who don't remember it or didn't see it, I'm selling the world one country at a time for use as advertising space. I've already made over $1500 and attracted local press attention and its popularity continues to grow.

I've changed the design now slightly and added a PHP backend, allowing country owners to login and and change their associated URL if they want. This allows people to rent out their country and make money for themselves in turn... which is nice.

I've also added a flash map to the site, increasing interactivity and making it more worth looking at!

This week one of the biggest countries is up for sale too... the USA. This should generate some more interest.

What do you think of it? How should I improve the design or the concept as a whole?

Long-time no see, not seen you on youngentrepreneur for a while. Anyways i think your site is great and i don't think you need to change it in any way you've got yourslef a nice layout and design and its the best sellnig the country trye sites out there!

I'm intending to sell of some big countries soon... they're much more exciting than Cuba and such! The USA is up at the moment which should be quick a high one.

Only thing I would change is when you scroll over countries you see the country name, advertiser's name and if none that it's available for purchase.

I think it is a good idea but all of the countries kinda look pixely to me. It just doesn't look very professional. It looks as if this is your first flash project or something. I don't want to be mean, but it doesn't look professional.
