I wasn't sure where to post this so I posted it here.

What is a good overture? And how important is overture. I came up with the perfect domain name (and it was .com) for my site but it had 0 overture.

And I also saw this "death to america 5.0 /day" and thats just for the united states ;(

I guess people don't like police eigher "F*ck the police 81.2 /day"

replace * with u.

You need "decent" overture results to help you attain good SERPs. High ranking in the search engine results is like free advertising. And this will bring you targeted visitors.

With 0 OVt, you need to do a lot of advertising for your site to get visitors.

Okay but what overture is good if you are only planning on using free advirtising?

It depends on the competitiveness of the keyword or keyphrase. If the keyphrase has 100 ovt result, but google returns 1,000,000 results for that same keyphrase, you will have a hard time getting high rankings.

If the ovt is 1,000 and google returns only around 100,000 results, this could be a good scenario. But of course you still need to do proper SEO to maximize the ovt results.

The figures I gave are just examples and not from any mathematical calculation. In the end, you will have to decide for yourself.

How much overture/google search would I need (approx) to get 50 unique visitors a day using only free advirtising?

Overture is helpful in determining the demand for a term but seeing Overture numbers on a term don't neccessarily mean a domain will have type-in traffic or will automatically rank higher in a search engine. Things like reciprical linking and good content are more important for ranking high in search engines.

If you want to develop a site. Find a good brandable name. That doesnt mean high number.
Your Search Engine Optimisation gonna do the trick.

You're sometimes better with a brandable name than a keyworded domain if it's your main business.
