I have been working on it for about a month now and cannot see its flaws any longer. I realize we are not completely finished with the site. Right now we are just wonrking on content and later on I will polish things up. I was wondering what I could do to improve the site overall. Thanks for your responsed, already taken constructive :)

Hi,

At first glance, it's quite a well-designed site. All the crucial information like rates and fleet size are available. I wonder how are you going to promote the site?

It would be useful, I believe, to have a opt-in form of some kind so traffic to the site is not wasted. It's always easier to sell to someone with whom you have developed a relationship. :imho:

first impression...

I think it looks good, professional job...

My only criticizms are:

1. Splash pages are useless. The splash page looks good, don't get me wrong, but in general, there is usually no reason to have a splash page on a website (the only good reason mayb be if you have multiple language choices)

2. Where do you want the user to click first when they enter the site? I am going to assume it is on the first step - Choose Your Vehicle? The steps are well defined and very simple, but I don't like the fact that I have to scroll down the page so far to see all the steps... I would suggest that you put the 4 lines of text above the steps down below the steps...

All in all I think this is a very good website...

Good Luck!

Thanks for the comments. We plan on buying into local and National dorectories for advertisement and maybe the local Yellow pages.

Im not sure what you mean by an " opt-in form " ?

Thx linker, I see what you are saying about scrolling down on the page. I will give this a try. I have a feeling I will be doing alot of tinkering and this is just what I need to hear. I am having a case of website block (writers block) at the moment and cant tell what looks good anymore.

thanks for your feedback !

Two things:

1) I'd loose the white in the topper... It makes the site look cheaper than it would otherwise. Too much contrast.

2) Your site seems to be running pretty slow... You may want to do what you can to improve the speed.

Just Two little issues on my end. First the font size. and Second is the Golf course photo on home page. I feel it should be placed lower on the page at the "golf" link and a logo in it's place

Other than that I like it a lot. A professional looking design. The lay out is spacious and easy to nav. Color scheme is pleasant for business. Great job in my opinion.

The header needs to stay for a while, our business cards have that same image on them.

I think my server has been slow the past few days.

OO is the font size too small, something I didnt even think of :p I think I can add an increase font size option.

The images in the menu are going to be rotating and im just now getting to that. The reason being for the golf course is the cactus, something identifiable to Arizona.

Opt in list is great idea.
Lose the splash page for sure. Doesnt help. It will actually turn people who have a slower connection away.
The site speed needs improving. It is running very slow.

Overall though it is nice. Most of the mentioned tweaks are fairly minor.
Good luck.
You might also consider, depending on your budget, advertising in some of the airline magazines such as continental's etc. Promote the site and also create some sales. Just a thought.

OK, splash page gone.

I have had problems with this server the past week or two. I may change servers this week after hearing this.

Fran, awesome idea. Airline mags ;) Wonder how much though :P

Also, I briefly looked into some opt-in options, interresting. But my question would be how to set this up and using what incentive suitable for this industry.

Thanks again for your input.

Some ideas for your opt in content: First one might be a info package on tips that most people wouldn't know about when renting limos or renting period. What to look for, questions to ask, a thing or two about used fleet/car sales (for those interested of course.) There's got to be something you've learned about your industry that an average joe would want to know.

Also, travel tips...places to go in your area, special discounts on local restaurants, exclusives to your members (promos, affiliate product, rental specials...around holidays (valentines special...members only.) Basically anything that would be useful to travelers, limo renters, corporate executives. The list goes on..Just get creative. It doesn't have to be huge...just simple, interesting, and somewhat useful.

Good luck...Look forward to seeing how things come along.
