The guy just get cold feet and backed out of a deal.
It happened all the time either here or outside of the forums.
Just ignore it and move on to keep your blood pressure down!!!

Quoting a nonexistent 'partner' seems to be a somewhat common tactic to try to get the price down. This actually just came up the other day in another thread. namepros.com/threads/need-help-selling-to-end-user.1002152/

Deals go sour all the time in any industry. He didn't seem rude and no swindling attempt. You lost zero money and just a bit of time. Sure it's unprofessional what he did but I would just take a breather and move on. I would see this as a great opportunity to not burn bridges. Happened to me on a $20K deal last year. I wished him the best with the direction he decided to go and asked him to keep me in mind for future purchases.

If you go the beach then you will get cold feet too!!!

The same situation happened to me a lot. I just ignore whether they are man or woman. Who cares?
If they don't want to buy then move on. You never know you may get an offer with a higher price,

Yup - quote them first though, not after you've made an offer already as an excuse to coward out of a deal.

While I agree, I believe what they are hoping for is that you are excited to make a deal and you'll be understanding about the 'situation' and go lower. Buyers use all kinds of tactics to get the price down.

Atleast he responded
"Sorry for the confusion" & "I apology for this and am sure you'll get good price for this domain"
People get second thoughts. It happened to me many times. I will move on.

lol Sounds like this is turning into a thread about not doing business with zandibot. He'll throw you under the bus if you have second thoughts! For some reason, I don't think zandibot saw the thread going this direction.

I'll happily not do business with people who make offers and back out. Less of my time wasted this way.

Out of curiosity, how did you get him to go forward with the deal? Did you tell him about this thread? Did you contact him again? Or did he just contact you?

Ali, what you did is so wrong and very mean! Come on he didn't not scam you like others. You don't know his situations. Trying to tarnsih someone just becuase he backed out? Really?
I followed you on domainsherpa and never expected such from you.

If this post wasn't from you I am sure it would have gotten more dislikes.
