What does the name even mean?

Out of hours vet, the masked bandits people call when they need medical attention for their pets outside of normal working hours. A lucrative industry imo, for example I've been quoted £400-600 before now to keep a pet in overnight just for monitoring.

It's worth nothing. Sorry.

Not bad. In fact amazing for an out of hours vet! Do you get vets who just work out of hours? There is no better name for them.

Not a valuation sorry but we have 2 out of hours vets close by and they are very very busy.... :D

This is how Rightside is marketing the gTLD .vet. So, is this to be a domain hack or your interpretation on how .vet is marketed? I don't see any value with the 1st, nor the 2nd.

A better use for both would be afterhours.vet. It could be taken as a veteran hotline or something to that effect or a veterinarian that works after normal working hours, if that is how they refocus their campaign after .vet(eran) fails.

Looks like Rightside agrees with my stance as it is a $750/reg/renew/premium gTLD @ Name.com. However, with your quote of what one may cost, it may be useful for you to secure the premium domain name.

Either or, both will ultimately fail.

Am I the only people who reads .vet as a slight typo of .net?
Yes, unless you have abnormally large fingers. In that case, quite possibly see a vet(erinarian). :P

@David Walker Glad someone said something!

It's AFTER HOURS! not 'out of hours'! If your 'out of hours' ....your dead. Does your car die when its 'after gas'? or does it die cause it OUT OF GAS!

0$

edit: Didn't know that about UK, But still hardly any searches for 'out of hours vet'

Only 839.99 for AfterHours.Vet and Only *839.99 to renewal every year!

Maybe in the States, but over here in the UK the term is "out of hours".

I guess you learn some new English every day. :xf.grin:

The phrase would be after hours in the United States. Though, I suppose it's out of hours in other English speaking countries of Europe.

With that, I suppose .vet could mean veterinarian there as well...

I think it would be a very hard sell to a vet....which would be the "only" end-user.

Not seeing any value.
