Hey there fellow NP members,

I just finished the dev work on http://outdoorsurvival.org and I would love to hear you opinions. It is a wilderness survival site. I'm not much of a developer but being ex Army it is a topic I feel I have some knowledge in. There is not a lot of content yet, I will be adding it over time.

I would like to hear your thoughts. Like does the site look legit? If you were looking for info on the subject would the site attract you?

For other would be developers, the site is built in drupal and it took me about 2 days to get everything working the way I wanted and I am a drupal novice.

Good feedback will be rep'ed of course.

I like it! It's laid out great - good information - pleasing to the eye.

I have been trying to develope something similar for a year - but I couldn't survive without a VISA card - so it's a little harder for me to content the site with original stuff.

Great idea - will keep checking back to see how you monetize it!

As far as monetizing it, I don't know, probably will just put up some adsense someday. Mostly it is just a topic I enjoy so I'm not to worried about it.

Classic CMS appearance, subtle colors, matching favicon, easy to navigate and a youtube video to bring some action to the frontpage. All i'd do is to center the video in it's alloted space.
Other than that, great work - specially when i have to think about what i could add as improvement suggestions means that you have done everything - i can't see anything that immediately throws a "red flag".

Domain name is great and I like the concept of the website. I often visit some of trekking/climbing websites to learn how to... or looking for nifty tools and foods easy to preserve etc. Im always looking for survival tools so you can earn good advertising revenue.
