It's only two words but is it too long? Worth contacting end users? If so what should I ask for?

Thanks.

Can you identify and target and evaluate prospects?

If so ... go for it.

Start at $500? or maybe higher? Negotiate from there.

If you start too high, you will scare them away. Move on, try again. It may take 2 or 3 or more conversations to close the deal.

If you have any cold calling skills at all, make at least 10 calls per day and see what happens. If you can scrape GOOD PROSPECTS emails from related websites.... send email blasts. 100 good targeted emails may get you 2 or 3 responses, more or less.

Try to send at least 10 emails and make 10 cold calls per day. After a week, evaluate your pricing.

EDUCATE yourself on the EMD (Exact Match Domain) issues that have just occurred last week with Google Algo so you won't oversell.

Treat it as a vanity branding domain name, sort of. Without hundreds of good quality backlinks and a good website, you won't have any SEO value from domain names anymore.

Good luck! :kickass:

. . .

If you have never done any cold calling or direct selling: Read a book or two and do some role-play with a few different friends for warmup and practice.

I like this name. The organic theme has been developed for several years and now is very valuable. You should contact the end-users who sell organic products. Even if it's related to one product, it could be used for a spices shop.
My price is mid to high xxx if you find a really interested and serious end-user.
Good Luck!

Thank you both for the responses.

GeoFan do you have any recommendations for books on cold calling and direct selling?

Looks like an all natural herbs and spices company out on CA has owned the .org for several years. Although their .org ranks 3rd in Google when searching for organic oregano so they may have no need for the .com.

Thanks again.

If you can make contact with the right person, with the right approach, and have some confidence in the value of the domain name, I think you could even do in the xxxx range, possibly.

I will PM you with more info when I can.

Meanwhile, check your local library for books on direct sales, prospecting, presenting, and closing.

Remember a refusal is not a rejection, it's just check off the box and move onto the next, better prospect.

I'd think the .org has reasons for wanting to own the .com sach as redirect it to the .org when someone used to type .coms make the mistake and type it .com

So I think they are the best option you could consider to offer

Price? no idea, although I'd let it go for any amount above $100. Or speculate for more at first, let's say $500 or so and if not interest get down the price
