.org, popular with bloggers?

Ok, I've registered a .com domain that I reckon would be great for a political blog/site (it's a topical political expression). The .net and .orgs are still available. But I got the impression that .org domains were popular with bloggers, and was considering registering the .org of the name. I confess this might have been a misconception on my part, as after searching for political blogs, I mostly found .coms or blogspot subdomains.

So what do you guys reckon, do bloggers like .orgs? Do they like .orgs over say, .nets, or is the relative value of a political blog/site related domain about the same as any other .org compared to a .com?

Thanks

The ext .org carries the connotations of a more "official" website in the eyes of many I do believe. As intended, .org is associated more with organizations in many respects so I think the air about a .org lends more credibility to the site that resides on that domain even though us domainers know better. It's all about perception in the world of political blogs and .org adds to it IMHO.

Originally I registered the .info of my name, never thinking about making it a blog. I bought the .org name bceause I too think that .org has a nice ring to it and I thought that it would work well.

All is well, and my blog is located at stevecastle.org where you can find commentary on domain names, ubuntu operating system, .mobi and more.
