Ok, Im sitting at the computer today. I have a negative scanner (Minolta) that has REALLY high resolution.

I end up scanning a negative. It was 4000 DPI res and only like 4000x5000 px. (1"x1.25" approx after print).

I wanted to boost up to 5x7, so I did. I didn't lower the res though. Ended up being like 20,000x35,000 px at 4000 DPI. The filesize was OVER 1 GB!

Took SOOO long to save on a P4 2.0ghz with 1gb ddr.

:)
