Online Portfolio Design

Hi all, Here is my new portfolio site, I say new but Im actually working on a new version at the moment that is quicker to load etc. Please can I have your comments on the current design. I know that it loads quite slowly and the structure of the site is'nt great with some unnecessary pages etc...but all comments on design are welcome...thanks...jon

+Good flash/HTML combination
+Nice menu
+Good gradients applied

-Well I'm not sure if it's just me, but somehow your header colour's blue don't match the blue background of your box to the right (of index).
-some text are cut off (in the blue part of index)
-in TABLES. Perferrably in DIVs.
-Pages such as about.html are very messed up. Especially the lower part of the site.


Overall:
It's a very stunning website! I was amazed at the way you did your menus (both the main and the sidebar). Good job!

when i looked at it i was amazed it a top site which will generate alot of interest did u do it all by yourself. because i like the layout of it.

The Bad

• I don't like how design direction has marks all over it (hard to read).
• No favicon (use it for bookmarking purposes).
• The dark blue hover on the tabs doesn't match overall color scheme.
• On my laptop that light blue text is quite hard to read.

The Good

• Great design.
• Loaded fast for me.
• Amazing overall site!

Nice but i'm asking why you are using flash for this menu you can do the same with an animated gif rollover.

Hello Jon,

The overall design and layout is absolutely brilliant, great job

Somethings i would suggest changing :
The fonts used on the blue background of the main page and some other pages are pretty weird, why not use arial or fonts like tahoma, sans-serif, etc?

The main logo of your site at the top is being half displayed and half wiped out with a black shade i suppose you should change that or fix it.

Good :-
The speed is well, but i don't know why the flash on the other pages load slow for me
flash menu is superb though fits well
everything else is great

hi all, thank you for the comments, I have been told by a friend that the site doesn't load properly for him, I havn't actually tested it in other browsers etc, I will do that now and also make some small changes that you pointed out..thanks again...jon

my thoughts on the logo:
The profile of a girl to the side: awesome... but the text definitely needs to be changed!
I know what you were going for... you wanted the fancy cursive to shadow the bold, stark font... a mixture of art with professionalism. It doesn't quite work out that way though... first, the fancy shadow text needs to be much bigger (and probably thicker) and less opaque; this way you can actually read it, and the two are still combined in some way.

Hi. First of all, the template is just beautiful. The banner is stunning, the colours and the borders are nice. Second, the content is well-based.
