Online petition software or programs

Does anyone know the reliability of petitiononline.com or similar services? As in: is the site never down, and does their database make back-ups regularly?

I have a petition I'd like to start, but due to a controversial topic I am afraid some hackers may try to get it down. It'd be handy if I could find a petition provider where I can make a back-up of the signatures regularly.

PS: the petition has to do with a sporting competition, so it's nothing political or religious or so, it's not THAT controversial :hehe:

I emailed both ipetitions.com and petitiononline.com to ask if they have a system to allow me making back-up (or if they make back-ups themselves) but none of both replied already... ipetitions.com says you can collect signatures at any time, but is that a sort of back-up system then or do I misunderstand that?
