What are your thoughts on .online domains?
It's very generic and not as ugly as .xyz for example, so that's a plus - but perhaps a little too long to have any success...
Plus most good names are either unavailable or premium...

.ONLINE renewals are on sale right now at Namecheap.
Multiple years are possible at this promo rate, so you could get say three years for $45. It's the lowest renewal rate I've seen yet (outside of west.xyz which I have no interest in using unless they get their sh*t together).

Ofcourse everyone is entitled to his own opinion, for instance with regard to which Registrar he likes to use, so if you don't like west.xyz for whatever reason, that's totally up to you. I always respect your opinion, 000, as you can see at this forum, and many times I liked your posts B-) .

At the same time I would like to seize the opportunity here to express my own experience with transferring to WEST.xyz myself. Up to now I transferred 405 names, mostly .Online, with almost no problems whatsoever, where I just paid $ 2,39 for each .Online transfer. Do your own math and you'll realize that WEST.xyz isn't that bad (and that's an understatement :xf.wink:).

And in the few cases that I encountered some minor problems, their support was acting almost right on the spot, solving the problem right away. So for now my advice would be to just give it a try, so you can find out for yourself what WEST.xyz could mean for you.

And don't forget, they are still the biggest Registrar where it comes to new gTLD Domains https://ntldstats.com/registrar !

I appreciate the reviews guys, I really do. I guess I'm not so concerned with being able to transfer-in as I am with being able to transfer-out. Perhaps my doubts are unfounded, but personally I see a lot of red flags. Something just isn't adding up to me, and it doesn't help that they still have links to non-English pages for things like More FAQ (relating to transfers), and a bum link to an alleged FAQ page on their Contact Us page. Call me old-fashioned, but I'd like to be able to read in clear terms what I'm agreeing to when allowing them to manage my domains. What is the FINE PRINT? All registrars have it. Am I to assume that everything's kosher with West.xyz because they respond quickly to support requests? Of course they'll assist in bringing more domains to their company... but I'm concerned that there's some "catch" to these great deals that we aren't realizing yet.

I'll share with you a few reasons why I'm suspicious of this company. They boast about being The Worldโ€™s Largest New gTLD Holdings Registrar with more than eleven million domains under management, but when you figure that most of their prices are suspiciously cheap, that claim suddenly becomes a lot less impressive. And, for being the #1 registrar, they sure haven't put much effort into West.xyz.

Poor translation. Why haven't they hired a proficient English speaker to go through their entire site, line by line? To see the need we mustn't look further than the final paragraph of their About page:

We struggle to offer simple, good products at the best price, and provide unparalleled level of service and support to our honorable clients. Besides, we will try our best to create the functional, lively and competitive domain platform.

They clearly meant "strive", but "struggle" is indeed more fitting...

Their Facebook page is pretty much a graveyard. I'm sure this is mostly due to Facebook not being so popular in China, but it's just an overall very unconvincing page littered with links to sites like DomainGang, DomainShane, DomainInvesting, TheDomains, etc. I guess I don't follow many registrar pages, but this just seems very amateurish to me. I did perhaps uncover a $995 LLL.online sale, but further analysis suggests that the sale may have never completed. Why would they announce an incomplete sale? That desperate for "news"?

It would appear that West.xyz promotes blatant TM infringement. This Facebook post tells us proudly that It seems that Lockheed Martin purchases a new domain Lockheed-martin.vip at west.xyz. Lockheed Martin is one of the largest companies in the aerospace, defense, security, and technologies industry. I don't know the language so don't know the price or anything, but from their screenshot it looks like the domain was purchased in their marketplace. You're really gonna brag about blatant TM infringement?

Is Jenny reviewing her own company? Their Facebook page boasts a glorious 5/5 rating, but the sole review is a 5/5 rating by a Jenny Chen. Coincidentally, the Skype contact for West.xyz is [email protected]. Same person? Why?

I don't care how much money or domains they hold, this company is at best amateurish. I would never ask a buyer to sign up with them, meaning if I receive offers on any recently-transferred domain, it would have to wait until it can be transferred out - and that's assuming there are no headaches transferring out. Maybe I'll consider giving them a shot for some low-value names if I start hearing from people who have done so without issue...

I can see why people are taking advantage of the crazy cheap promo rates, but I guess my portfolio is too valuable to me to trust it with an overseas company who puts such a small value on professionalism. There's very little recourse available to a U.S. customer, for example, should issues arise, and it's not like these countries are on great terms even now before the election. It all just seems very risky to me if I'm holding a five or six figure portfolio.

some dropped .online domains were reset into premium domains or reserved domains.
e.g.
brands.online
sword.online
baba.online
......

west.xyz support preorder drop newG domains, but i found someone else are always using script to monitor the dropped .online list ,they also got some dropped LLL.online domains.

and i found the deleted time of dropped .online domains is always at random...

.online fans , do u worry about .web, i think .web is an opponent of .online
I am not at all concerned with .web. It might be shorter, but it's an outdated term that just doesn't offer the advantages of .online.

Most .web domains don't make sense, including many top keywords: RealEstate.web, Home.web, Homes.web, Car.web, Cars.web, Bank.web, Computers.web, Denver.web....

DotWeb is really a terrible extension, imo. If anything it makes .online look better. Maybe it'll do well in some markets though...
