What are your thoughts on .online domains?
It's very generic and not as ugly as .xyz for example, so that's a plus - but perhaps a little too long to have any success...
Plus most good names are either unavailable or premium...

Looks like .online is now not on sale at Godaddy any longer. The price is now roughly $10 per .online

They did just announce their earnings and they did beat estimates... I wonder if it's all planned or coincidence...

It wouldnt surprise me if they wanted to use the hype to boost their numbers. I feel like its a win/win situation.
I picked up a "ton" of good german keyword domains at $1.. even at a crappy sale a buyer can hardly argue giving me $10 for a domain since that is the reg fee (for now). Obviously I am not aiming for $10 sales but you have to have a plan B in mind

Some of the good chips you can buy for $200 each from a Chinese domainer. He got at least a thousand I think.

You are right tho, most 3l .onlines are listed for around $2,500 to $9000 each at Sedo
