Retail Appraisals

I like:

tourism.co.in
autos.co.in
downloads.co.in
websites.co.in

I would set the lowball-lowball for these names to ~$775 each. Some minor development and you could get much more for these.

I like online.co.in the best and lowball I would say ~$900.

Just out of interest, why do you say that? Especially after having heard of the latest sales....

Yup; WOT has set some very nice precedents so I stand by my appraisals.

There is no denying the power of these 'words', but there is no way to accurately appraise an 'extension' that is just now coming into mainstream light. Yes, there have been a few notable sales, but 99% percent of regs are just sitting there, and will be for a long time.

Last time I checked, I could register MOM.sc but that doesn't mean it's worth anything.

I have grabbed some (.CO).IN myself, and you bet I'm hoping it turns into something great, but the drive to be first to the "new hot thing", and being convinced you've found what everybody else missed, has sent many people to financial ruin.

This extension still has the "fresh new baby" smell. Soon, there will be dirty diapers piling up, mass drops, and hopefully some good sales along the way. But it will have to go thru the same growing pains that .us/.info/.biz went thru, and are still going thru. I don't care how many people are in India.

That said.... Awesome names, and I sincerely hope the India extensions do great! :)

Ruin? To whom are you referring? :-/

As with any emerging TLD, development will be the key.

To whom? Well, countless people over the years, with every boom rush that's comes along. It was just a general statement AmCy, regarding using some caution when diving in head first. It was not about anybody in particular, and was not a shot at anybody, or anything. It was just one part of the full context of my message. All friendly here. :)

I didn't take offense, I was just surpised that you used the term "ruined." Domain names are relatively cheap and I doubt anyone is going broke because of domain speculation. We aren't exactly talking about the $100 million per month burn rates of those silly .COM's of the late 90's, know what I mean, jelly bean? I think even the most reckless domain speculators aren't spending more than a few thousand dollars--tops--IMO.

Nice names, most were on my list of pre regs with a couple of the most successful registrars.

You did extremely well with these as I don't think NetandHost.com (SGS) managed to reg very many names in the landrush and you got the pick of the bunch, very fortunate.

Are you going to develop or sell them?

Good luck
