One site for review...

My girlfriend designed this website completely from scratch for my friend, did the graphics, flash, guestbook and pics area, implemented the places for embedded real video, etc. All is her hand-creation with the exception of the obvious things (the tag-board she obviously didn't code). This is her first project she's ever done website-wise, so I was wondering if you all like it or not? Let me know, and be honest please.

Well, I'm by no means an expert on design, but I think the site looks good for a first time designer. The couple of things I don't like about it are:

1) The nav links on the left side are very hard to read.
2) The Login/signup thing has no explination as to what your signing up for.

That's about it. Overall, I like it.

Very clean and shiny. I really like the simpleness of it.

Except, as Caveman pointed out, the navigation menu is damn hard to read and makes that side of the page uncomfortable to look at when the whole site is clean.

Other than that, top work, especially for a first web design project.

EDIT: I just realised that the navigation box overflows with grey outside the black border when viewing in Firefox. Just a little error.

Hey ,
PLUS :
- flash intro looks good and it loads fast.
- good layout.
MINUSES -
- color scheme.. too much gray in there.
- text in the navigation is a little hard to read.
- you are using frames and i dont like it.. but you can use them if you want .. search engines have some problems with it
- the flash movie in the top corner doesn't load.

The flash in the top left corner doesn't work for me either. If it's suppose to be those blue boxes floating around in the top left corner, maybe removing cornerbox from the link might help it. cornerbox/future.swf

i am surprising that it is a design of first attempt. very nice.

but i think it should some changes in texts. texts seems very light.

it's just my suggesion. colors are good.

The flash in the beginning was a nice surprise, and everything is easy to find throughout the site; however, there are some things that could be changed to make it better.
-Too much gray. It is bland.
-Too much of a box-like structure. Spice things up a bit and make it interesting.
